In each weekly session, children explore singing, dancing and acting through fun, structured activities that are carefully tailored to this age group.

Classes focus on:

• Building confidence and self-expression

• Developing listening, focus and teamwork

• Encouraging creativity through music, movement and storytelling

• Helping children feel happy, included and proud of what they achieve

All activities are age-appropriate, playful and taught at a pace that supports every child.

• Children aged 5-8

• Complete beginners, no experience needed

• Children who love performing, or those who need a confidence boost

• Children who benefit from routine, encouragement and positive reinforcement

Many children join Foundations as their very first theatre class.

Foundations students work towards their own annual production, created especially for this age group. This gives children the excitement of performing on stage in a calm, supportive way.

There are:

• No additional costs for costumes, lighting or sound

• No ticket charges for families

• A video of the performance included

• Dress rehearsal photos provided

Performing is encouraged but always handled sensitively, with children supported throughout the process.

Foundations classes run on Monday after school at Ash Manor School, with two class options available:

• 4.30-5.15pm

• 5.15-6pm
